Standing Innovation was founded on a demanding idea: useful AI takes more than powerful technology. It takes technical judgment, commercial discipline, and the determination to turn a good decision into real work.
That is what our two co-founders bring to the table. Matthew Rubin connects people, decisions, and forward motion. Brendan Ahern brings the strategy and business lens. Each sees a different part of the problem; together, they can challenge an idea from complementary angles.
We are building Standing Innovation for small and medium-sized businesses that want AI to improve the way work actually gets done. We begin with the business problem, define the human and technical boundaries, and build toward an outcome worth measuring.

Matthew is an information technology leader who makes complex systems work for the people depending on them. He has managed infrastructure and thousands of devices across schools and public operations, supported election technology spanning 170 polling sites, and directed $500,000 in annual technology procurement. A longtime business owner and hands-on robotics mentor, he brings Standing Innovation an uncommon mix of operational command, inventive problem-solving, and the ability to turn an ambitious idea into action.

Brendan Ahern
Venture strategy & commercial growth
Brendan is a two-time founder and sales leader who knows how to carry a technically ambitious idea into the market. He has raised more than $1.6 million in seed capital, led a robotic platform from concept through deployment, and scaled a mobile ordering product beyond 10,000 commercial orders. With an MBA from UC San Diego's Rady School of Management and experience across B2B sales, finance, and international operations, he gives Standing Innovation a rare combination of founder urgency and commercial rigor.
