Founding note

Get the Right People in the Room

Why the first useful deliverable is a well-run strategy conversation with owners and deadlines.

The first product of a founding team is not software. It is a shared decision about whom to serve, what problem to solve, and what happens next.

That is why the strategy meeting matters. The senior developer can test technical reality. The MBA professional can test the business case. The founding operator can keep the conversation tied to customer needs and turn decisions into owned work.

A useful first meeting should end with:

  1. one customer segment to investigate first;
  2. one painful workflow to study;
  3. one small paid-pilot concept;
  4. clear boundaries for privacy, safety, and human review; and
  5. a 30-day action list with one owner and one deadline for every item.

The founding operator’s responsibility is to bring the right people together and keep momentum after the meeting. The details will change as the team listens to real businesses. The ownership of the next step should not.

This is an early founding perspective, not a claim of completed customer work.
